Casio G-Shock – how an eternal legend was born
The moment when Casio decided to create a new, unique series of watches, which to this day remain at the top of the popularity ladder, fell in 1981. Back then, a quartz movement was nothing unusual in the industry, and water resistance was slowly becoming the new standard. Casio needed a fresh, extraordinary idea, which soon turned out to be the groundbreaking design of the Casio G-Shock series.
